You’re Authentic? Really? Why No Registered Trademark?
Can you be authentic without a registered trademark?
Not with Google, or Outlook, or Outlook, or Microsoft, or Amazon, or MailChimp……….etc.

The blue tick (or check mark) is being applied beyond social media, as proof of authenticity, but to get the blue tick you need to have a trademark registered with the an approved intellectual property office (IPO) like the UKIPO.
So why does it matter?
The blue tick marks you as a legitimate sender, improves the deliverability of email and increases open rates!
With 85% of email as spam this has to be a good thing.
Google is also trialling the blue tick verification feature in search, to make it easier for users to avoid clicking on fake or fraudulent websites. To qualify as an approved on the Seller Programme on Amazon, you also need a registered trademark in the country where you are selling.
Part of the process is to get a VMC which is a verified mark certificate, this is where the registered trademark ® comes in as they are checking the bona fides of your mark to see whether it is genuine.
Having a registered trade mark makes more sense than ever as you are helping your clients sift out the wheat from the chaff or the authentic from the fake.
