Innovation incentives are designed to support innovative and high growth companies.

R&D Tax Credits and Patent Box are two such schemes in the UK. The R&D tax credit scheme has been around for over 20 years and the patent box scheme for about half of that time. The R&D tax credit scheme has been widely used across a range of sectors and sizes of companies, but the patent box is not so widely used among small and medium sized enterprises.
