Hotel Mood Music Copyright Issue Not Good For Sony

Social Media influencers using music in their posts for a commercial purpose.  

Marriott Hotel were using Sony music in social media posts.

Some posts were using influencers and others were directly attributable.

Sony claimed they were owed $139m license fees and damages for copyright issues connected to the unlicensed usage of the music and got the lawyers involved.

October 8th this week they settled the case between themselves – no details shared.
