These are the drugs that have transformed the Danish economy over the last 5 years thanks to the inventions from Novo Nordisk.

Ozempic sales are running at $41bn pa.

But someone forgot to pay $450 to renew the patent!

With the patent lapse in Canada generic equivalent drugs are expected to enter Canada in 2026.

Ozempic sales in Canada are expected to fall 80% in the first year after generic launch!

Is this human error that caused this likely drastic loss in business or is there something I am missing?
