How Good is Your NDA really?

An NDA is not a cloak of invincibility, it is only as good as you make it.

A common misperception is that: ‘we have an NDA so we can be open and sharing with all information, including trade secrets’. This view is just plain dangerous.

Think of the NDA as an old and tired knight who has taken far too many blows to the head to stand up to anything more than friendly fire.  

The take away is you cannot rely on an NDA alone, to protect your trade secrets and other valuable, confidential information.
